I work from a trauma informed perspective which focuses on exploration of underlying themes beneath behavioral choices and cognitive beliefs. We don’t engage in behavior unless it benefits us in one way or another. Discovering the truth of who we are, releasing what is not, honoring what we have experienced, and employing curiosity around what we truly can be, surmises the basis for my approach.
With over 14+ years and counting in therapy myself, I understand the client’s perspective and bring autonomy as well as warmth and compassion in the room. You know what isn’t working, let’s start embracing what aligns, explore what possibilities and opportunities you may already have to cultivate your authentic self. Life is lived one day at a time.
In my personal time, I enjoy nature, spending time with my dog, and nurturing the softness that makes living so enjoyable. I am an avid musician, enjoy the fine arts, travel, and exploring new cultures as well as cuisine. Learning is my passion, and experience goes hand in hand.

who Courtney works with
Courtney’s priority with her clients is to not only help them do the deep work needed in the therapeutic process, but to offer them compassion, warmth, and—above all—a truly safe space to explore their emotions without judgment. She works collaboratively with clients to set the pace for therapy work, trusting their nervous systems to know when, and at what speed, to share and process personal vulnerable experiences.
While Courtney sees individuals struggling with a wide variety of issues, including those dealing with everyday stress and anxiety, she specializes in working with people who have experienced relational trauma, dysfunctional childhoods, PTSD, and shame, as well as members of the neurodivergent (ADHD/Autism), LGBTQIA+, and Polyamory and Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM or ENM) communities.
She uses a blended approach in her practice, often pulling from DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IPNB (Interpersonal Neurobiology), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and Mindfulness techniques, working with clients to use modalities that feel right for them.
One of the things Courtney enjoys most about her work is helping to instill a sense of autonomy and agency in others, showing clients how to embrace themselves and their own intuition.
